Continuing the celebration of its 10th anniversary, adidas SPZL introduces the DECADE pack, a footwear collection paying homage to the brand's archival Three Stripes heritage, curated by Gary Aspden. This release offers a reimagined interpretation of four iconic silhouettes from adidas SPZL's past decade: the Garwen SPZL, Lacombe SPZL, Blackburn SPZL, and Ardwick SPZL.
First in the lineup is the Garwen SPZL, originally inspired by adidas Brisbane leisure shoes. It now appears in a light brown, putty, and gum color scheme, featuring a leather upper with complementary suede accents, perforations on the toe box, and metal Trefoil branding.
The signature Lacombe SPZL returns in a white, chalk white, and dark blue color combination. Notable updates include a breathable mesh tongue with patent leather branding, reminiscent of vintage Made in France footwear, and a suede toe bumper paying homage to adidas' court shoe heritage.
The DECADE pack reimagines the Blackburn SPZL, a highly anticipated release since its debut in 2019. This iteration combines elements from previous iterations of the Blackburn SPZL and Blackburn Ewood SPZL, featuring a forest green suede upper, night navy tongue, and flock stripes, adorned with gold foil prints of the Lancashire rose and SPZL Mod Trefoil.
Lastly, the Ardwick SPZL, initially introduced in 2014 in collaboration with Manchester stockist Oi Polloi, returns with adjustments. It boasts a refined shape, reworked T Toe, new tongue branding, and flock stripes paired with a revised chocolate brown foxing against its iconic moss green colorway. True to its original release, the upper utilizes reversed leather, resulting in unique color fluctuations between pairs.
The DECADE pack will be available on May 24th through select retailers and CONFIRMED. Signups for purchases via CONFIRMED open on May 18th at 17:00 CET.
