During the Christmas season, mental health support is available for individuals struggling with emotional challenges. Various services offer resources, counseling, and assistance to help people cope with the stress and isolation often heightened by the holidays. These initiatives aim to provide comfort, reduce anxiety, and support mental well-being during a time when many may face heightened emotional difficulties.
Islanders are encouraged to seek mental health support if needed during the Christmas period.
The Listening Lounge offers assistance to individuals aged 18 and over who are experiencing mental health challenges. It stated that support is accessible online at any time through the digital service, TogetherAll. Andy Weir, director of Mental Health Services and Adult Social Care, assured that people would receive support whenever needed.

The Listening Lounge provided several tips for maintaining mental health during the Christmas season:
Acknowledge and accept your feelings to process emotions and be kind to yourself. Reach out to a friend, family member, or support line, including the Listening Lounge at 01534 866793 or Samaritans at 116 123.
Limit social media use and spend time connecting with nature instead. Engage in self-care activities like mindfulness, exercise, or something enjoyable. Set small, manageable goals to help you feel a sense of accomplishment and structure your day.
The service’s hours will be 10:00 to 20:00 GMT Monday to Saturday, except on Christmas Eve when it will open from 10:00 to 18:00.
The service will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day.
