Elon Musk recently deleted a controversial post on X after the assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump in Florida. In the post, Musk questioned why no one was attempting to assassinate President Joe Biden or Vice President Kamala Harris. Responding to another post that asked, "Why they want to kill Donald Trump?" Musk wrote, "And no one is even trying to assassinate Biden/Kamala."

The post sparked immediate backlash, with one X user stating, "This at the least demands a visit from the FBI and Secret Service." Another person reported the post as a "coded incitement of violence."

Musk, a known supporter of Trump, deleted the post shortly after. This controversy comes as Trump is set to face Vice President Harris in the upcoming US Presidential election in November.

Regarding the assassination attempt, Trump's campaign and law enforcement confirmed that the Republican candidate is safe after an incident at his golf course. The US Secret Service reported that agents "opened fire on a gunman" near Trump's golf course boundary and recovered an AK-47-style rifle with a scope, as well as a GoPro video camera.

This marks the second attempt on Trump's life this year, with the first occurring two months ago during a rally in Pennsylvania, where Trump was grazed by a bullet.

Ryan Wesley Routh, the suspect, has been arrested in connection with the latest incident. He was reportedly hiding near the sixth hole of Trump International Golf Club with a high-powered rifle and recording equipment.
