On Monday, Etihad Airways' flight EY1 from Abu Dhabi landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport, marking the commencement of the airline's A380 double-decker service. This service features The Residence, a renowned three-room suite renowned for its luxurious amenities.

Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, expressed excitement about introducing the A380 experience to New York, expressing confidence that passengers would thoroughly enjoy the exceptional journey onboard.

"Bringing the A380 to the bustling New York route is in line with our strategic goal of meeting the rising demand from customers and expanding our network," stated Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways. "This development follows closely on the heels of our recent launch of a new route to Boston, our fourth gateway in the United States. It underscores our dedication to serving and expanding within the North American market."

The introduction of the A380 marks a substantial enhancement in Etihad's capacity within the crucial US market, facilitating seamless connections to the wider Middle East and the Indian subcontinent.

Moreover, the augmented capacity will streamline efforts to attract more visitors to Abu Dhabi, bolstering the region's tourism industry.

Of the two daily flights to New York, one will be served by the A380, while the other will be operated by a 787-9. This diverse fleet ensures a range of cabin options, including First, Business, and Economy classes, catering to the varied preferences of passengers.
