Boston Brand Media brings you the latest - The renowned 'Home Alone' house is now available for purchase at $5.25 million. Step inside and discover its mesmerizing interior, brimming with charm and character.

Filming for 'Home Alone' spanned almost five and a half months, occurring both indoors and outdoors at the redbrick Georgian residence. The movie generated over $500 million in global box office revenue.

CNBC reported that the famed house showcased in the 1990 movie "Home Alone" is currently on the market for $5.25 million. The redbrick Georgian residence, constructed in 1921, spans 9,126 square feet, featuring five bedrooms, six bathrooms, four fireplaces, a gym, a private movie theater, and an indoor sports court, as listed by Coldwell Banker Realty’s Dawn McKenna Group.

In "Home Alone," 8-year-old Kevin McCallister, portrayed by Macauley Culkin, is inadvertently left behind when his large family embarks on a Christmas trip to France. He finds himself defending his home against two burglars, played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern. The filming process lasted nearly five and a half months, occurring both inside and outside the house, with the movie accumulating over $500 million in global box office earnings.

The house was last sold in 2012 for $1.585 million, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Boston Brand Media also found in 2018, the house underwent extensive renovation and expansion, resulting in significant alterations from its appearance in the "Home Alone" film. However, the current owners chose to preserve certain iconic elements, such as the front door and the "unforgettable entry staircase" where Kevin, portrayed by Culkin, sleds in the movie.

"The Wall Street Journal" quotes the house owners expressing their sentiment: "That was in the movie and it’s classic. We didn’t want to take that out or touch it in any way." Additionally, the listing mentions that the formal living and dining room areas "all remain largely unchanged in form and structure."

Furthermore, the sale will include a Lego rendition of the house and a sizable Lego figure of Kevin, a gift from Lego to the current owners, as reported by the publication.
