INCAS is set to receive a custom-built flight simulator for the King Air 90GTx aircraft, developed by Axis Building.

INCAS will soon acquire a custom-built flight simulator for the King Air 90GTx aircraft, designed by Axis Building. This advanced simulator will enhance pilot training by providing realistic, controlled cockpit experiences tailored specifically to the King Air 90GTx, improving both safety and proficiency.

The company has completed a flight testing campaign aimed at collecting data for the simulator.

Axis Flight Simulation, a provider of flight training solutions, has been selected to supply a level-D Beechcraft King Air C90GTx simulator to the National Institute for Aerospace Research (INCAS) in Strejnicu, Romania. In collaboration with the Austrian company, Axis conducted an extensive flight testing campaign to gather aircraft flight data for the simulator's development.

The Beechcraft King Air C90GTx full-flight simulator, provided by Axis, is equipped with an XT6 visual system from RSi to offer an immersive training experience. Additionally, it features a motion system from Van Halteren Technologies, enhancing the simulation's realism.

INCAS will utilize the Axis simulator to research various performance indicators, including pilot response and real-time aircraft aerodynamics, aiming to optimize procedures and reduce operating costs. The institute's research aligns with the FlightPath 2050 vision and Horizon Europe program, contributing to European Union policymaking.

Magdalena Ardelean, project manager at INCAS, expressed appreciation for Axis' dedication in delivering a tailored solution meeting their specific requirements. She emphasized the importance of the simulator's capability to recreate diverse flight scenarios with high fidelity, facilitating research into aircraft movement dynamics and pilot commands.
