Magna bags five 2023 Supplier of the Year awards from General Motors

Magna's excellence in four key product sectors - body & chassis, exteriors, powertrain, and seating - has been duly acknowledged with a plethora of awards. General Motors (GM) has honored Magna with an impressive tally of 30 category awards in the past half-decade, underscoring the company's commitment to innovation and quality across various automotive domains.

General Motors has once again bestowed upon Magna the esteemed title of "Supplier of the Year" at its 32nd annual Supplier of the Year event held in Miami, Florida. This marks the 25th occasion in the program's history that General Motors has recognized Magna for its exceptional performance as a supplier, highlighting the enduring partnership and commitment to excellence between the two automotive giants.

During the event, Magna's outstanding contributions were celebrated across five categories spanning four critical product sectors: body and chassis, exteriors, powertrain, and seating. This acknowledgment elevates Magna's total count to an impressive 30 GM Supplier of the Year awards within the past five years, showcasing the company's consistent excellence and innovative prowess across diverse automotive domains.

Eric Wilds, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Magna, expressed pride in the enduring partnership between Magna and GM, which spans nearly seven decades since their first collaboration. He emphasized Magna's commitment to excellence and its pivotal role in the automotive industry as a key player. Wilds highlighted the significance of being acknowledged across four product areas, underscoring Magna's comprehensive expertise across the entire vehicle spectrum.

GM's Supplier of the Year award is bestowed upon global suppliers who surpass GM's stringent standards, delivering innovative technologies and maintaining top-tier quality within the automotive sector. Jeff Morrison, vice president of Global Purchasing and Supply Chain at GM, expressed deep appreciation for the partnership with outstanding suppliers who have played integral roles in GM's transformative journey. - Battery Mechanical Components

- Exterior Moldings, Claddings & Extruded Plastics

- Frames
