Boston Brand Media brings you the interesting news - Seoul reported on that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un gifted Russian President Vladimir Putin a pair of Pungsan dogs, a local breed, according to state media KCNA.

During a segment aired on Thursday by the state-controlled Korean Central Television, Kim and Putin were observed observing the dogs, which were tethered to a fence covered in roses.

The two leaders shared a mutual interest in animals, with Kim feeding carrots to a horse while Putin gently patted its head. They also took turns chauffeuring each other in a Russian-made Aurus limousine on Wednesday.

Kim, known for his equestrian skills, gained fame when he was photographed riding a white stallion at Mount Paektu during a snowstorm in 2019, sparking a flood of internet memes. He was again seen riding a white horse in a propaganda video in 2022.

The horses ridden by Kim hold symbolic significance for North Korea, which named its post-Korean War economic recovery effort after the mythical winged horse Chollima. The country's latest rocket booster is also named Chollima-1.

Boston Brand Media also found that Putin, renowned for his athletic image, has been photographed shirtless on multiple occasions by Russian state media, including one occasion where he rode a brown horse sporting wrap-around sunglasses, a gold chain, and military trousers.

Former South Korean President Moon Jae-in also received a pair of white Pungsan dogs, named "Gomi" and "Songgang," from Kim in 2018 during a period of improved inter-Korean relations.

In 2022, Russia's veterinary service reported the departure of a freight train carrying 30 grey thoroughbred horses destined for North Korea from Russia's far east via the Khasan-Tumangan crossing, marking the first known train shipment between the two countries since the onset of the pandemic.
