Royal Alberta Museum to Showcase 'Here & Now': A Compelling Exhibition Featuring 12 Local Artists

I am deeply honored to see my artwork featured in the esteemed halls of the Royal Alberta Museum," expressed AJA Louden, an accomplished artist based in Edmonton renowned for his captivating murals adorning the city's walls.
Louden's contribution to the exhibition will include a portrait from his acclaimed "Like Me" series, offering viewers a glimpse into his distinctive artistic vision and narrative prowess.
"This exhibit truly showcases the remarkable skill and diverse talent of Alberta artists," remarked Louden. The recent acquisition of these artworks by the Alberta Foundation for the Arts (AFA) marks a significant addition to its esteemed collection, which already comprises more than 1,700 pieces representing the creative endeavors of Albertans. As the largest and sole public art collection dedicated to Alberta art, the AFA Art Collection stands as a testament to the province's rich cultural tapestry.
Minister of Arts, Culture, and Status of Women, Tanya Fir, emphasized the profound role artists play in illuminating the diverse narratives that shape Alberta's identity. Each artwork, she noted, offers a poignant reflection of the province's unique cultural heritage, underscoring the invaluable contributions of Alberta's artistic community.
