Ryan Reynolds expressed that he shed tears of joy following Wrexham's attainment of a second consecutive promotion, whereas Rob McElhenney stated that he was left speechless by the achievement.

The Hollywood actors, who acquired ownership of the Welsh football club in 2021, witnessed their team secure a position in League One for the upcoming season with an impressive 6-0 victory over Forest Green.

Fans flooded onto the pitch at the Racecourse Ground to celebrate at the conclusion of the game.

Wrexham's promotion to the Football League last season marked a significant milestone after a 15-year absence. The achievement was commemorated with an open-top bus parade that drew tens of thousands of supporters.

Ryan Reynolds, known for his role in Deadpool, expressed his emotions on social media, stating, "A few years ago, if you told me I would be crying tears of joy over a football match taking place in North Wales, you would be Rob McElhenney. Congrats to Wrexham and to my co-chairman in crime. Double up the town! This is the ride of our lives."

Rob McElhenney, co-creator of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, watched the game from Los Angeles and shared his reaction with a simple message on social media: "No words," accompanied by a heart emoji.

Fans poured onto the pitch to celebrate.

During the match, Reynolds specifically commended striker Paul Mullin, 29, who scored two goals in the first half, contributing to Wrexham's 4-0 lead at halftime.

Reynolds expressed his admiration for Mullin's performance, stating, "This may be my favorite goal of his. Not a game winner or anything fancy. Just perseverance, hustle, and grit." He emphasized Mullin's dedication to giving his all on the field, acknowledging that fans deserve nothing less than full commitment from the players.

It's worth noting that McElhenney had previously extended his support to Mullin by allowing him to recover from an injury at his home after the player suffered the setback during a friendly match against Manchester United.
