Saudia and Flyadeal Announce Order for Over 100 A320neo Family Jets

Saudia and Flyadeal have announced an order for over 100 A320neo family jets, marking a significant expansion of their fleets. This move aims to enhance operational efficiency and support the airlines' growth strategies in modern aviation.

Saudi Arabian flag carrier Saudia and its budget subsidiary Flyadeal are ordering an additional 105 Airbus A320neo-family jets.

The order includes 93 A321neos and 12 A320neos.

Saudia Group, the parent company of both airlines, announced the agreement at the Future Aviation Forum in Riyadh on May 20.

Fifty-four of the A321neos will be allocated to Saudia, while the remaining 39 A321neos and all 12 A320neos will go to Flyadeal.

Details regarding engine selection and delivery dates have not been disclosed.

“Saudia has ambitious operational objectives to meet growing demand,” says group director general Ibrahim Al-Omar.

“We are increasing flights and seat capacity across our existing 100-plus destinations on four continents, with plans for further expansion.”

Saudi Arabia’s government is focused on strengthening air transport and tourism as part of its Vision 2030 initiative.

Airbus states that this deal boosts Saudia Group’s firm orders for A320neo-family single-aisle jets to 144.
