Saylani Initiative to Introduce Islamic Schooling System in the United States

The Saylani Initiative seeks to implement an Islamic schooling system in the United States, aiming to bridge cultural gaps and promote religious education within local communities. Through this pioneering effort, Saylani aims to establish institutions that offer comprehensive Islamic education, fostering understanding and appreciation for the religion's teachings. By introducing this schooling system, Saylani hopes to contribute to a more diverse and inclusive educational landscape in the United States.

KARACHI: Saylani has made the decision to create an Islamic schooling system specifically for Muslim children residing in the United States. To facilitate this initiative, a five-member education committee has been established in Houston, Texas, consisting of four members hailing from Texas and one from Chicago. Furthermore, Saylani has opened outlets at the Ayesha Mosque on Devon Avenue in Chicago and at the Faizan-e-Ayesha Mosque in New York.

These developments were disclosed by Maulana Bashir Farooq Qadri, the founder and chairman of Saylani Welfare International Trust, following his return from a 21-day tour of the USA and Turkey. He shared this information while conversing with Saylani CEO Madani Bashir Farooq Qadri and COO Muhammad Ghazal.

Maulana Bashir Farooq Qadri revealed that two Turkish entities have pledged a significant number of cows to Saylani for Eid-ul-Azha, aiming to provide meat to the impoverished. Diyanet, a government organization, will oversee cow slaughtering in Faisalabad, while Haider, a non-governmental organization, will handle the process in Hyderabad. The meat will then be distributed in disadvantaged areas of these cities. A four-member Turkish delegation will visit Pakistan before Eid to supervise this distribution.

During his brief visit to Turkey, Maulana Bashir Farooq observed that the fourth shipment of aid had been dispatched from Istanbul to Gaza on May 4, with preparations underway for the imminent dispatch of the fifth shipment.

Expanding on his visit to the United States, Maulana Bashir Farooq disclosed that he led Friday prayers in Dallas, Texas, where he acquainted the local Muslim community with the Saylani Islamic School System. The community warmly embraced the initiative, pledging their unwavering support. Additionally, he addressed the ongoing oppression in Gaza during his visit, holding meetings with various representatives in the Senate office in Chicago to voice his protest. These representatives assured to relay his concerns to the US Senate.

Simultaneously, Maulana Bashir Farooq convened with diplomats at the Pakistani Consulate, apprising them of the challenges confronting Pakistan and the Muslim community in the USA. Moreover, he visited the esteemed Stanford University in Silicon Valley, California, engaging in discussions with CEOs of leading IT companies regarding remote job opportunities (freelancing) for 100,000 Pakistani youths. He briefed them about Saylani's mission to train 10 million youths in this domain. The CEOs acknowledged Saylani's substantial contributions to Pakistan's IT sector and pledged their support to this cause.

During his visits to New York and New Jersey, Maulana Bashir Farooq convened with the Muslim community, urging them to accelerate efforts on the Saylani Islamic School System.
