Entry-level EV revealed
A new affordable electric vehicle concept has just been unveiled.
With the original Beetle, Volkswagen introduced affordable mobility to millions of people with their compact offering. Volkswagen’s iconic Beetle once revolutionized the car market by providing accessible and compact mobility to the masses. Now, with the ID. EVERY1 show car, the German brand is presenting an entry-level, all-electric model. Today, the company is unveiling its new ID. EVERY1 concept – an all-electric entry-level vehicle.
Volkswagen will launch the production version in 2027 – with a starting price of around 20,000 euros. The production-ready version of the ID. EVERY1 is set to debut in 2027, priced at approximately 20,000 euros. The ID. 2all1 will be launched for around 25,000 euros in 2026.
Another upcoming model, the ID. 2all1, is expected to hit the market in 2026 at a price point near 25,000 euros.
Both models are based on Volkswagen’s new modular electric drive platform: the MEB with front-wheel drive. These two vehicles will be built on Volkswagen’s latest MEB front-wheel-drive platform, designed specifically for electric cars. Europe is one of the central pillars of the brand’s plan for the future, and VW is aiming to offer a diverse portfolio, from combustion-engine models and hybrids to all-electric vehicles. Europe plays a key role in Volkswagen's future roadmap, where the brand plans to offer a broad mix of vehicles, including traditional engines, hybrids, and fully electric options.
The production version of the ID. EVERY1 will be the first model to use a fundamentally new software architecture. The finalized ID. EVERY1 will introduce a completely redesigned software system for the brand. This means that it can be equipped with new functions throughout its entire life cycle. This new architecture will allow the car to receive functional upgrades throughout its lifetime.
Following the ID. 2all and the sporty ID. Concept GTI, the ID. EVERY1 is based on the new modular electric drive platform. Like the ID. 2all and the performance-oriented ID. Concept GTI, the ID. EVERY1 utilizes the updated modular electric platform. Thanks to the electric front-wheel drive, the MEB platform offers space utilisation and maximum efficiency. With its electric front-wheel-drive system, the MEB platform enhances interior space and optimizes efficiency.
The concept vehicle reaches a top speed of 130kmph, and is powered by a newly developed electric drive motor which churns out 95bhp.
The ID. EVERY1 concept achieves a top speed of 130 km/h, driven by a newly designed electric motor delivering 95 horsepower. The range is at least 250 km. It offers a minimum driving range of 250 kilometers on a full charge.
There will be nine new models by 2027, including the production version of the ID.2all for less than 25,000 euros, and the ID. EVERY1 for around 20,000 euros.
