In a recent announcement, Cumbria Police disclosed the acquisition of two electric vehicles from Tesla as part of an experimental initiative. The police force, which welcomed the vehicles on Monday, plans to conduct thorough testing until the culmination of July, according to an official statement.

Remarkably, the entire endeavor is underwritten by Tesla, with the manufacturer generously covering all associated charging expenses, as confirmed by a spokesperson for the force. These vehicles, a Model Y and a Model 3, will be actively deployed by Cumbria's roads policing unit to bolster operational patrols in the region.
