Taylor Swift, Post Malone Win Best Collaboration at MTV VMAs

At the MTV Video Music Awards, Taylor Swift and Post Malone were honored with the Best Collaboration award. Their joint performance impressed the audience and critics alike, showcasing their strong chemistry and musical synergy. This win highlights their successful partnership and reinforces their status as leading artists in the industry.

The black-and-white music video for "Fortnight" debuted in April as part of the promotion for the lead single from Swift's album, "The Tortured Poets Department." In the video, Swift is depicted in a somber hospital environment, which she described as mirroring the imagery she envisioned while composing the songs for "The Tortured Poets" album.

Taylor Swift and Post Malone won the Best Collaboration award for their pop track "Fortnight" at MTV's Video Music Awards on Wednesday.

Taking a break from her record-breaking Eras Tour, Swift entered the red-carpet event with the highest number of nominations—12.

Upon winning the first award of the night, Swift described Malone as "ridiculously talented" and "unfailingly polite."

She joked on stage at UBS Arena, saying it took a long time to convince Malone to stop calling her "ma'am."

Malone reciprocated the praise, calling Swift "one of the kindest and most talented people" he’s ever known. The black-and-white video for "Fortnight," released in April, features Swift in a stark hospital setting, which she felt represented the imagery from her album "The Tortured Poets Department."

Malone remarked on how he watched Swift direct the video while lying on an operating room table.

"Fortnight" was also a contender for the Video of the Year award, competing against Billie Eilish's "Lunch," Eminem's "Houdini," SZA's "Snooze," and others.

Eminem kicked off the show with "Houdini," and was later joined by country artist Jelly Roll for their hit duet "Somebody Save Me."

Katy Perry was scheduled to receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award in recognition of her lifetime achievements.
