Trump Claims False Endorsement from JPMorgan CEO

Trump shared a photo of JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon on his Truth Social platform with the caption: "Breaking: Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, endorses Trump for President."

Donald Trump on Friday promoted a fake endorsement from JPMorgan Chief Executive.

Washington – On Friday, Donald Trump promoted a fabricated endorsement from JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon, who has not endorsed any candidate in the 2024 U.S. presidential election.

Trump shared a photo of Dimon on his Truth Social account with the caption: "New: Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JPMorgan Chase, has endorsed Trump for President." The post, which surfaced around 1800 GMT, was a repost of another social media item.

However, JPMorgan quickly denied the claim. "That report was false," said JPMorgan spokesman Joe Evangelisti, adding that Dimon "has not endorsed a candidate."

This isn't the first time Trump has circulated false endorsements. In August, he shared doctored images suggesting singer Taylor Swift supported his campaign, though Swift has openly backed Vice President Kamala Harris. Swift later condemned the spread of misinformation, calling it a growing concern in the age of AI.

By 1700 GMT, the fake Dimon endorsement remained visible on Trump's Truth Social page.
