Blue Moon Takes a Big Swing with New Ice Cream Offering
In a world where baseball pitches exceed 100 miles per hour, Blue Moon, born nearly 30 years ago in Denver's Coors Field, is taking a slower approach with its latest collaboration. Teaming up with Rawlings, Blue Moon introduces the Blue Moon Home Run Twist. This unique offering boasts a 2% alcohol by volume and combines the refreshing citrus flavor of Blue Moon's Valencia Orange peel with the richness of Madagascar vanilla. Blue Moon, a brand under the Molson Coors umbrella, aims to recreate the full baseball experience by including a mini Rawlings helmet and classic ballpark treats like peanuts and caramel corn with each pint.
Courtney Benedict, vice president of marketing for Above Premium Beer at Molson Coors, expressed excitement about brightening the baseball season for fans aged 21 and above with the joy of ice cream in a helmet, now available for home enjoyment.
Crafted in collaboration with alcohol-infused ice cream maker Hardscoop, the limited-edition Blue Moon Home Run Twist is offered in a 2-pack for $49, inclusive of dry ice shipping, and is available starting today.
Much like other Molson Coors-owned beers, Blue Moon has a history of creative collaborations to expand its reach. In December, it partnered with PopUp Bagels to combine craft beer and artisan bagels, infusing Blue Moon beer into the bagels and incorporating the brew's Valencia oranges into the cream cheese. Additionally, in 2022, Blue Moon collaborated with a Texas bakery to create mini pies as a garnish for its beer.
