The internet is abuzz with excitement over Mongolia's stunning outfits for the Paris 2024 Olympics. Move over Lululemon, Berluti, and Ralph Lauren. The internet has a new favorite national uniform for the Paris 2024 Olympics: Mongolia’s.

Featuring intricately embroidered vests, pleated robes, and traditional-inspired accessories, Mongolia’s opening and closing ceremony outfits have taken social media by storm since their unveiling last week.

The designs by Ulaanbaatar-based label Michel&Amazonka express Mongolian tradition and culture in a contemporary light.

Incorporating blue, red, and white, along with traditional motifs and the “Soyombo” symbol from the national flag, the designs also feature Paris and Olympic motifs like the Eiffel Tower and the Olympic flame.

The label revealed its designs through glossy photos and a luxury fashion campaign-style video shoot. Female athletes’ outfits include ceremonial earrings and embroidered bags, while male flag-bearers will wear archery hats, belts, and traditional boots.

The uniforms, each taking about 20 hours to craft, have garnered significant attention on social media, especially TikTok. Style writer Ryan Yip’s video praising the designs has been viewed over 2 million times, and other commentators have also expressed admiration for the detailing and thoughtfulness of the outfits.

On Michel&Amazonka’s Instagram page, users have praised the uniforms as beautiful and intricate.

Founded by sisters Michel and Amazonka Choigaalaa, the label also designed Mongolia’s outfits for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, where Mongolia won one silver and three bronze medals.

Mongolia has participated in every Summer Olympics since 1964 except one. The nation won its first gold medals in judo and boxing at the Beijing 2008 games.

This year, Mongolia is sending over 30 athletes to the Paris Olympics, competing in nine sports including cycling, shooting, and wrestling.

Elsewhere at the Games, Berluti designed France’s opening and closing ceremony uniforms, Ralph Lauren is dressing Team USA, and Ben Sherman is outfitting Great Britain.
